This week’s edition of The Top 10 New Android Apps of the Week is choked full of goodies. There are apps to keep your information safe, and ones that let you store it in the cloud. If that’s not your taste there are apps for tracking political ads, ones that help you tune up your device, and there’s even an app that lets you play Nintendo DS games from your Android device. Yup, there’s a little something for everyone so sit back, relax and enjoy our picks for the Top 10 New Android Games of the Week…


 

1. ESPN College Football

Football season is upon us, and now we’ve got an official app to help us enjoy the college season with the ESPN College Football app for android. This handy little app will keep you up to date on your favorite teams, lets you do a bit of voting, and gives you easy access to live games on WatchESPN. I haven’t had a chance to play around with the app too much yet, but it appears to have everything you’ll need to follow your favorite college team. 2. All-In-One Toolbox

There are a lot of functions we use on our Android devices daily, and it’s great to have them all in one place instead of digging through your menus. The All-In-One Toolbox app gives you 14 great tool to use including a cache cleaner, task killer, history cleaner, and SD file manager just to name a few. 3. Messenger Play!

If you’re the social type that loves to stay connected and in touch with your pals 24-7 Messenger Play! might just be the thing for you. Messenger Play! lets you chat with your Facebook friends and allows you to access Hotmail & Skydrive as well. You can send free unlimited messages to your friends on MSN, Facebook, and Yahoo for free with your 3G/4G or WiFi connection. 4. RetailMeNot Coupons

Coupon Clipping isn’t just for grandmothers anymore as it seems everyone’s trying to save some money these days. RetailMeNot Coupons is an app that gives you a wide variety of coupons, deals, and offers to the stores and restraints you visit the most. The app has TONS of offers available so there’s no doubt you’ll find something you need and be able to save a little bread. 5. nds4droid

If you love to game emulators are a great way to revisit some classic right from your phone, and nds4droid is a new emulator that will let you play all the Nintendo DS games you love. This one’s still a work in progress and can be slow or skip, but it actually works which is a major step in the right direction. If you’re into emulating DS games this is a great one to try, and it’s totally free to download.


6. Magisto

Magisto is a new video editing and sharing tool that lets you add soundtracks and effects to videos captured on your Android device. It will analyze your videos and splice them together for you in a snap; once you’re done you can share your professional looking videos with all your friends and family. It’s simple to use and best of all it’s free!


 

7. Network Speed Booster

We’ve all struggled with cell phone reception regardless of carrier or the device we’re using. Network Speed Booster from Alportela Apps is looking to change that as it works to give you better call quality, improve your internet speeds, and maximize your phone’s broadband power. I’ve tinkered with this one on and off for a few days, and it has seemed to help in my home as I always have a shoddy signal indoors where I live. You can try it out for yourself and pick it up for free on Google Play.


 

8. Ad Hawk

As the elections are heating up we’re becoming swamped by ads and if you want to keep track of them Ad Hawk is a great way to do just that. Ad Hawk identifies election ads as they air and lets you know who’s behind them immediately on your Android phone or tablet. The app lets you know who’s spending the most money for influence through ads, and it’s made by the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation.


 

9. SkyDrive

Microsoft released it’s could-based storage app this week, and it looks to be a good one. The Skydrive app gives you a place to store your files, view recently used documents, and allows you to share your files and photos with easy to share links. Haven’t tried this one out yet as I’m happy with Drive & Dropbox, but if you’d like to give it a go you can snag the app itself for free.


 

10. Dashlane

Privacy is a growing concern as nobody wants their important data stolen from their mobile device. Dashlane is a great way to combat that as it will lock your data up tighter than Fort Knox with its AES-256 Encryption. The app is a companion to the Dashlane Desktop application, and the service is available to try for free although they have a very nice Premium version for a low price as well.
